Yesterday I visited the Globe theatre. I loved it because the guide was brilliant and shared so much about the life and times. I wsh there was a way to add her to our delicious for the Yr 8 topic!
I loved the Year 8 student who asked if they placed partly boiled heads on the little spikes we could see along the top of the thatched roof. The answer was no, because they displayed those heads on London's only bridge, and the little spikes? They are the for spraying water in case the place catches fire - like it did about 1617. (Hope I remember that date correctly).
